Jill will provide an overview of the application process and offer valuable tips for students to make their applications stand out!

The day will include a combination of workshops, application/essay assistance, and time for students to work on their essays and receive individual guidance. Pizza lunch will be served.
In the Application Boot Camp, students will:

Review different types of essays. This includes the personal main essay, "Why" supplements, community essay, activity essay, and the additional information section.

Learn how to authentically enhance the Activities and Academic Honors sections of the application.

See how to increase visibility of any application.

Review how to create standout resumes and videos. We provide students with sample resumes for easy formatting.

Comprehend the importance of Demonstrating Interest to relevant colleges.

Understand standardized testing options, self-reporting vs. official score reporting.

Receive an organizational template to stay on task throughout the college process.
Details
Please note: Your space is not reserved until funds are received and our office confirms your registration. No make-ups are available but students can join by Zoom if they are unable to attend in person (in Great Neck, NY). A laptop computer is required for participation.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Application Boot Camp event due to lack of participant registration, illness, weather, safety issue, or any unforeseen event. If the event is canceled or rescheduled by us to a date a participant can not attend, that participant will receive a full refund.
