We recently worked with Jill for our first born son. She provided us a wealth of wisdom and knowledge, both quantitative and qualitative. Jill’s assistance in essentially laying out a twelve month calendar of the entire process was invaluable and put us all at ease. At the end of the day, unlike many in the college advising field, Jill is a trained and very experienced guidance counselor and was completely consumed with assisting and guiding our child toward making the wisest application decisions. Jill has been amazing through this entire college process. Starting in 10th grade when we first met, she really took an interest in getting to know me personally and gave tailored advice especially to me. What was most helpful to me during the college process was her availability and willingness to discuss any issue or answer any question, no matter how simple or ridiculous it may have been. Overwhelmed and stressed by our older son's college application process, we searched for professional assistance for our younger son. Fortunately, we chose Jill Madenberg as our Independent Educational Consultant. Jill bonded quickly with our son and assessed his strengths and weaknesses. Her questionnaire helped to identify schools offering the tuition, location, course of study and extracurricular parameters that suited him. Jill detailed both the positive and negative attributes of each school in relation to our son. She made herself available around his schedule, replied to his questions and concerns promptly, and kept him motivated throughout the entire process. Jill also helps with other college related services such as essay review, help with financial aid, ACT and SAT tutoring. Unfortunately Jill was not the first consultant I engaged to assist me in getting my son into the right college. The first, although highly recommended, had a different approach to the process that makes it all the more easy to recommend Jill to other parents. Whereas the first quickly established where she felt my son should go, Jill continually listened to both me and my son as the process went on and offered alternatives even after we felt we were done applying. The more she listened to what we wanted, the more ideas she had. Whereas I felt comfortable communicating with our first consultant, my son never joined in the process on his own. With Jill my son developed his own relationship. They were collaborating over emails discussing the process and the various colleges he had heard about. Jill would always forward me the emails so I could keep track of the progress. Lastly, I felt Jill was very current on the nuances of the application process. She would often forward articles, send group emails with ideas and pass along application statistics that reassured both me and my son through this stressful time. Never underestimate the importance of an experienced guide when traveling through unchartered areas. In Jill I feel I found such a guide and wholeheartedly recommend her.

Jill Madenberg was an amazing support system in many ways. My daughter went through a lot of emotions during the entire college process. Jill was wonderful. She made my daughter feel secure and successful. She helped make a stressful time so easy. When my daughter needed her, she was there. When I first started my college process I had no clue how I would figure everything out. Jill was able to help me with every aspect along the way.
